The administrator shall be responsible for providing the following services:
Install/configure/patch/upgrade firmware/operating system on up to 40 physical storage systems
Configure and ensure secure configuration of up to 40 storage systems per client Secure Configuration requirements to discover, assess, prioritize, remediate, and report security configuration policy violations
At the request of customers or leadership, change the configuration of the system as needed and approved through Change Management
Monitor storage utilization using onsite tools against standards set forth by management
Adhere to OISM requirements for log management. Create and maintain standard installation and troubleshooting documentation.
Install, configure, and maintain NetApp Private Storage unit in Equinix data center
Configure and maintain storage architecture and communication between NetApp Private Storage unit in Equinix and Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service (S3)
Plan and perform at least 1 but not more than 20 storage upgrades on NetApp units from 7-Mode to latest version of Data ONTAP software and firmware
Support NetApp units related to Central Files Services, Virtual Infrastructure, and Enterprise Backup services
Interact with and provide support for clients/end users. End user support tasks shall be assigned using the OISM ITSM application.
End user support entails the following:
Being present on-site at the client campus for communication with end users, other staff, and staff from the IT assistance center
Using the specified ITSM application to update status of requests and to document the resolution
Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting enterprise storage
Experience with Install, configure, administer, and maintain NetApp storage units.
