Primary Responsibilities and Duties
We are a Managed Service Provider/IT Consultancy offering a wide range of services, equipment and support to a diverse customer base across East Anglia (and beyond). Having grown constantly since 2010, we are looking for an experienced IT consultant/engineer to join our busy and excellent team supporting customers with their entire range of systems (Windows/Linux/Mac, SBS, Exchange/O365, SQL, networks, web hosting, telecoms, copiers etc).
A typical day could include a range of tasks from connecting a DOS based CNC router to a Windows server, to specifying a CCTV system, to remotely fixing an Outlook mailbox corruption in on a laptop in Sudan, to finding an obscure part to repair a 10 year old Windows NT box.
For the last few years, our growth has been continuous – as a result, recruitment is now a constant endeavour. We’re not looking to just fill vacancies, but to seek out the very best candidates who will enhance an already amazing team!
We are looking for a very experienced, truly technical, IT support person who is passionate about delivering the highest levels of customer support, so if you’re the IT guru that others always turn to for help, then please be in touch today for a chat.
This role will be based at our offices in north Cambridge, and will involve occasional onsite work – a UK driving license and proximity to Cambridge will be beneficial. Once the probation period is completed, occasional home-working may also be possible.
This role has an initial probation period of 3 months, working a flexible 40 hour week. You may occasionally be required to work overtime or out of hours, and take part in an “on-call” rota, but will receive 25 days annual leave plus public holidays. Salary for this role will depend on skills/experience.
We are an ethically focused company and work with a significant number of social enterprises, charities and other non-profits…so if you want to work in IT “and” give back to society, then this could be the role for you!
