Are you a highly-organised Project Manager looking for the chance to make a real difference? Want to support vital initiatives that are giving children the skills they need to succeed in life? If so, our client wants to hear from you.
About the Charity
Our client is a national charity dedicated to raising literacy levels in the UK. They run projects in the poorest communities, campaign to make literacy a priority for politicians and parents, and support schools. Their mission is to give young people the literacy skills they need to get a job and lead a successful life.
One person in seven in the UK has poor literacy skills that impact on every area of their life. A child without good reading, writing and communication skills can’t succeed at school, and as an adult they could be locked out of the job market. Poverty doubles the likelihood of literacy failure by the age of five.
Currently, our client is rolling out a new programme, funded by Sport England, that will support families to develop active lives and encourage a love of reading. As such, they’re looking for a Project Manager to join them in Stoke-on-Trent.
Our client believes that the ability to communicate is a fundamental right and that society will only be fair when everyone has the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills they need to fulfil their potential.
By working with our client, you can help to transform lives through literacy.
In this exciting role, you will have the chance to drive the success of innovative initiatives that nurture a love for reading and enable families to live happier, healthier lives.
As the Project Manager, you will lead, develop and deliver our client’s three year community engagement programme in the Stoke-on-Trent area.
